Creative Every Day

atc 009

The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind. ~Albert Einstein

I just delighted in my first “check-in” for the Creative Every Day Challenge! The post and comments were inspiring and creative notations of the creative activities of the group.

Interesting how winding the journey of accepting that being creative every day takes on many forms.

I knew in my head I was being creative with my  journaling and memory books, digging in the dirt of my country gardens, designing and tweeting my collage planner and even by creating this new blog to journal my creative expressions and discoveries. However, there remained this nagging feeling that I wasn’t really accomplishing creativity.

Accomplishing creativity? Isn’t that like an oxymoron?

At long last I have “slipped into” the rhythm of allowing myself to create a moment at a time. To see creativity in the words I use to journal and blog my days, watering my gardens, in the right-brain way I plan and organize my days, collaging a few words cut from my junk mail and simply adding to my flickr a bit at a time …

I have wanted to do this for such a long time. Thus I am so grateful to creatives like, Leah, who provide such a nurturing forum to gently nudge those of us who tend to blend a tad too much logic in our pallets! ;-)

How do you incorporate creativity in your day? Does your life include quiet moments, those moments with foster creativity?

Yay! I’m so glad you’ve joined in and are loving the effects already. I especially love how you allowed yourself to create a moment. That’s wonderful to hear.
